I am a copywriter-turned-art director-turned-design-director that has always been amazed about the sneaky power of design. Whether they're even conscious of it or not, consumers can't help but love great design. Put simply, a brand's graphic identity is literally adding hidden value.
I've worked in agencies of all different sizes, on brands and budgets of all different sizes. But no matter what, the challenge is always to make your client the best in their category and sell more stuff. I've worked on home thermostats, oil lubricants, men's dress shoes, big colleges, tiny colleges, wakeboard boats, I've even worked on pharmaceuticals for beef cattle. And we've always found success in our category.
I've been lucky enough to get recognized by Graphis, Luerzer's Archive, National Addy's, AdWeek Best Spots, been named a Cannes Film finalist, National Effie finalist, and won Best of Show in the NAMA Awards and The Higher Education Awards twice.
But more than anything, I like working with people that have the same goals as I do. . . making brands look pretty and making the best visceral impression as possible.
